A draft website for images and data from specimens in the herbarium of Charles Dubois (1658-1740), Treasurer of the East India Company.

Dubois was a contemporary and friend of William Sherard, Jacob Bobart the Younger, Samuel Dale and Johann Jacob Dillenius. He began amassing his herbarium towards the end of the seventeenth century, though his role as a patron of botanical collectors in the Americas, south Asia and southeast Asia. In addition, his herbarium contains many examples of exotic plants, raised from seeds, in his garden at garden. The herbarium, which appears to have been acquired by the University in the middle of the eighteenth century, is the most poorly known of the pre-Linnaean herbaria in in Oxford University Herbaria.
